Another drug personality busted; P400K marijuana destroyed

A drug personality will now be facing charges for Violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy. Laang, Lagangilang, Abra on October 17, 2022.

Based on the report submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR, the arrested suspect was identified as Randy Tadeo, 40 years old and a resident of Brgy. Balais, Lagangilang, Abra.

According to Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO), suspect Tadeo was arrested by joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Lagangilang Municipal Police Station (MPS) after he sold twelve (12) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.83 grams with a Standard Drug Price of Php 5,644.00.

Markings and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspect and duly witnessed by Sangguniang Bayan Norberto Aldaca of Lagangilang, Abra, and Mr. Edgar Tanura of DZPA Radio Station.

The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the Drug Enforcement Unit of Abra PPO for documentation and proper disposition.

Meanwhile, in a separate anti-illegal drug operation in Kalinga, operatives of Kalinga PPO, RMFB15, and PDEA-CAR have discovered a marijuana plantation site in Barangay Ngibat, Tinglayan, Kalinga.

Said plantation site was planted with 2,000 pcs of fully-grown grown marijuana plants with an SDP of Php 400,000.00. All marijuana plants were destroyed on-site. No cultivator was apprehended during the said operation. (PROCOR-PIO / File Photos)
