Baguio Country Fair 2022
Baguio City celebrated the 2nd Baguio Country Fair at Session Road last October 2, 2022 organized by Porta Vaga Mall under the Diocese of Baguio and in partnership with the City Tourism Office of the City Government.
The event recreated cowboy country scenes at Session Road with the participation of the community showcasing their cowboy and cowgirl persona.
It featured three competitions – the Dog Fashion Show, Line Dance and the Search for Mr. and Ms. Country Fair and was spiced up by the MPBC Countryhan in Concert that featured the local country crooners.
The event coincided with the Sunday Market Showcase and also offered games shows, animal feeding, food offerings among other treats.
The Dog Fashion Show was participated in by eight fur babies but the best three were: Chocomogo owned by Manny Genove, first place; Blessy Selene owned by Neil Ocampo, second place; and Vodka owned by Erlyn Lafiguera, third place.
Several schools and barangay organizations entered the Line Dance Competition where the Baguio Central School garnered the top prize in the school category followed by Rizal National High School, second place and San Jose Elementary School, third place.
For the barangay and civic category, Engineers Hill and Scout Barrio volunteers took first place, Lualhati got the second spot and San Vicente, third place.
The Mr. and Ms. Baguio Country Fair 2022 featured 25 candidates. Cliff Einstein Remolar and Abilaine
Mayos were hailed as Mr. And Ms. Baguio Country Fair 2022, Clark Chumacog and Annabhel
Robino placed 2nd place, and Kyle Jon Tultog and Dhennery Gel Merdegia won 3rd place.
The Baguio Country Fair is part of the city’s 113th Charter Day Anniversary. – Graziella Kate Estrera
