Baguio Technical-Vocational Trainer commended

The City Council, during last Monday’s regular session, approved a resolution commending and congratulating Baguio technical-vocational trainer Noriel K. Ramos after having been recognized as the 2022   National Tagsanay Award champion by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) held last September 27, 2022 in Taguig city.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that the city as the education center of the north is proud to commend and congratulate Mr. Ramos for showing excellence in his field which has brought tremendous pride and honor to the city.

Earlier, the TESDA conducted its annual National Tagsanay awarding ceremony 2022 at the TESDA central office last September 27, 2022.

Out of the 17   contenders from the private technical-vocational institutions (TVIs) and TESDA technology institutions (TTIs) nationwide, Mr Ramos was included in the top 8 finalists and then eventually declared as the champion with 386 points out of the perfect score of 500 points.

Further, Mr. Ramos was a volunteer trainer at the TESDA – Baguio in 2010, and worked as a job order for 5 years before landing in a permanent position as a trainer in the Regional training Center in 2016.

He is a technical-vocational education and training (TVET) trainer in machining, computerized numerically controlled (CNC) lathe and milling machine operations and he has also extended his services and expertise in electronics, technical drafting and information technology-related qualifications. – Dexter A.
