Five more barangay budgets get city’s favorable review

Mayor Benjamin Magalong ratified city council resolution no. 444, series of 2022, granting favorable review of several barangay budgets for fiscal year 2022.

The barangays whose budgets got the nod of the august body are West Modernsite, Ambiong-Baguio, Salud Mitra, Scout Barrio and Loakan Proper, the approved measure reveals.

The resolution states that the  local legislature’s committee on barangay affairs, in its 2nd indorsement dated September 19, 2022, recommended favorable reviews of the mentioned barangay budgets.

Section 458 of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended, was cited as the basis for the city council’s granting of favorable approval to the barangay budgets, the measure adds.

The resolution directs the five barangays to return their budgets to the City Budget Office for implementation. – Gaby B. Keith
