Mayor to businesses, households: ‘Tapat Mo, Linis Mo’ Please
Mayor Benjamin Magalong has appealed to business and home owners in the city to exert more effort in maintaining the cleanliness of their facades and surroundings to live up with the city’s reputation as a clean and comely city.
“It is our collective pride that people praise our city for these attributes. We have a beautiful city so let’s maintain that or even enhance that. Things as simple as keeping our frontages clean at all times can go a long way,” the mayor said.
He said in his weekly inspections that take him to the different barangays, he had observed that there are a lot of business establishments and residences with unkempt or littered frontages.
“It looked as if the owners were not bothered by the messy appearance and that people should not care because those are their properties,” he said.
“Let’s start giving care and make cleaning our properties a practice. It not only makes our surroundings pleasing to the eyes but also ensures the health and safety of our families, employees and clients,” he said. – Aileen P. Refuerzo
