CHSO asked for recommendations on Covid-19 home care programs
Mayor Benjamin Magalong has signed, June 28, resolution no. 257, series of 2022, requesting the City Health Services Office (CHSO) to provide the City Council with an update/report on the implementation of home care programs in the Summer Capital, and its recommendations on how to make these more effective.
The august body earlier adopted resolution no. 033, series of 2022, urging government health agencies and private medical facilities/ practitioners in the city to provide home care programs for Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) affected persons.
The Mayor, in his letter dated February 11, 2022, returned unsigned the resolution with marginal notation that the “Community Home Isolation Based Program (CHIBP) and Telemedicine are considered home care programs for Covid-19 patients which are already being practiced in the city”.
In its 2nd Indorsement dated June 9, 2022, the local legislature’s committee on laws, human rights and justice recommended that the Mayor’s letter be noted and made as part of the august body’s records.
The committee also recommended that the CHSO under Dr. Rowena Galpo to provide the City Council with an update/report on the implementation of home care programs in the city and recommendations on how to make these more effective. – Gaby B. Keith
