DENGUERERA

Baguio City – (July 12, 2022) – Police Station 5 with coordination of PSSG Jennnelyne L. Andres CAD PNCO and Sto. Rosario Valley barangay council conducted a community clean-up drive.

It is a campaign against the spreading disease of dengue that must be eradicated in our barangay.

Dengue is a viral infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes. The primary vectors that transmit the disease are Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and, to a lesser extent, Ae. albopictus. The virus responsible for causing dengue is called dengue virus.

Warning Signs

Abdominal pain or tenderness, Persistent vomiting, Clinical fluid accumulation, Mucosal bleed, Lethargy or restlessness, Liver enlargement > 2 cm., Laboratory finding of increasing HCT concurrent with a rapid decrease in platelet count.
