Saleng go cart race

The Saleng Festival Go Cart Race held June 11 Juan Luna Drive in Burnham Park drew enthusiastic participants and spectators.

Done in two categories — under 12 years old and under 18 years old, the race was a single elimination tournament allowing only two bikers at a time.

Even if there were only a few of them, competitors enthusiastically tried to outpedal each other during the race to the delight of the audience.

The winners were:

Under 12 years old category — St. Pierre Loria, 10 years old; Exxon Deatras Jr., 8; and Hailey Loria, 8.

Under 18 — Jhared Manimbao, 14; and Lebron Nhei Clarion, 12.

All winners will receive medals and cash prizes.

The Go Cart Race is part of the 2nd Saleng Festival spearheaded by the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) with the City Sports Development Office and the Media for Sports Development (MSD). – Nene Cadiog and Rainzee Bantiding/PIO interns
