Baguio COPS nab 7 wanted persons and 3 others offenders
BAGUIO CITY- Seven (7) Wanted Persons and 3 Others,1 for Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition and 2 for Use of Falsified Documents, were nabbed by Baguio Cops in separate police operations from Jan 1-5, 2021 under the flagship of Baguio Police City Director, PCOL ALLEN RAE F CO.
Aurora Hill Police Station nabbed 37-year-old ELPIDIO ROSIMO CAÑERO for Violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition). He was arrested around 3:00 AM of January 1, 2021 at No. 60 Lower Brookside, Baguio City which also resulted to the confiscation of his unlicensed firearm, Cal. 45 ARMSCOR, colored black bearing Serial No. 1333488 with inserted magazine loaded w/ 5 live ammos, and 1 extra magazine with 4 live ammunitions.
On the same date, Camdas Police Station was able to arrest two (2) wanted persons for ESTAFA in separate manhunt operations Friday afternoon. Arrested were 52-year-old businesswoman JANET ARKIAS y VALDEZ and JAVIER ARKIAS y SANCHI, 50 years old, both residents of Camp Henry T Allen, Baguio City.
The arrest stemmed from a warrant for Estafa case issued by HON. ROBERTO R MABALOT, Presiding Judge of MTCC, First Judicial Region, Branch 1, Baguio City with recommended bail of P36,000. VALDEZ was arrested at Magsaysay, Baguio City at around 2:00 PM by composite elements led by PCPT JEREMIAH REYNA BENITO, Camdas Police Station commander, while SANCHI was nabbed at about 3:00 PM in Lower Loakan Liwanag, Baguio City by the same tracker team of Station 2 and other operating units.
Pacdal Police Station nabbed SHEENA BERMUDEZ DOMINGO, 24, at Slaughter Compound, Santo Niño Brgy Hall, Baguio City at around 2:20 PM of January 3, 2021. DOMINGO was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by HON. MIA JOY C OALLARES-CAWED, Presiding Judge of RTC First Judicial Region Br 4 for a Case of Theft with recommended bail of P30,000.00 issued on November 20, 2018.
The tracker team of Camdas Police Station in coordination with CIDMU, CIU, and Laoag MPS arrested RONALYN REYES MARCOS, 26, at around 9:50 AM of January 4, 2021 in Nangalisan East, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. MARCOS has a standing warrant of arrest for a Crime of ESTAFA issued by HON. ROBERTO R MABALOT, Presiding Judge of MTCC, First Judicial Region Br 1, Baguio City with recommended bail of P12,000.00.
Irisan Police Station nabbed two (2) individuals who presented falsified documents at the Police Station 9 Quarantine Checkpoint, Purok 3, Irisan, Baguio City at around 1:30 PM, Jan 4, 2021. Both violators are Nigerian Nationals identified as RACHEAL FUMILAYO OWOBORODE, 22, and CHINAZOR FRANKLIN OBIEKEZIE, 26. Said individuals on board their dark blue Lexus, bearing plate number ASA 9672, were flagged down by manning QCP personnel for checking of their travel documents.
Accordingly, both presented the result of their Rapid Antibody Test issued by Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center Institute of Pathology Clinical Pathology Department dated December 30, 2020. However, the authenticity was doubtful due to the absence of dry seal and the signature of the issuing clinic. Thus, it prompted PLT ARIZABAL to call Mr. James Cabalfin, Laboratory Staff of said clinic and confirmed that they did not issue any RT-PCR Test Result to the suspects. Likewise, the certification thru e-mail of the said clinic stated that the CVO number indicated on the presented documents do not appear on their system.
Meanwhile, on the same date at about 4:00 PM, Loakan Police Station served the warrant of a certain ROWENA BAYUNGAN VALEDOR, 39, at Happy Homes, Campo Sioco, Baguio City for the crime of SLANDER. The warrant was issued by HON. GLENDA T ORTIZ-SORIANO, Judge, First Judicial Region dated January 4, 2021 with recommended bond of P12,000.00.
At about 9:00 AM of January 5, 2021, Loakan Police Station in coordination with CMFC and CIDG-Baguio proceeded at Purok 1 Loakan, Apugan, Baguio to serve the warrant of STANLEY BINYAHAN POPOC for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness issued by HON. GLENDA T ORTIZ-SORIANO, Judge First Judicial Region, MTCC BR 1, Baguio City on January 4, 2021 with recommended bond of P24,000.00.
Following on, a Child In Conflict with the Law (CICL) who is wanted for Qualified Rape thru Sexual Assault was nabbed at about 10:00 AM of same date by the tracker team of Police Station 2 and other operating units. The warrant was issued by HON. IVAN KIM B MORALES, Presiding Judge of RTC First Judicial Region Br 59, Baguio City with recommended bail of P80,000.00. Likewise, 63-year-old ALFARETTA FAGANGAN GAZA, who has a standing warrant of arrest for a case of ESTAFA was arrested at 1:15 PM by joint personnel of Station 3 and CIDG-Baguio. PR
