(April 25, 2022) – In Baguio City, police officers of Abanao Police Station (PS7) together with the barangay officials of the Upper Market Subdivision have initiated a sports program for the youth dubbed “BATAlympics”.

A total of 18 kids participated and enjoyed the basketball shoot-outs, tug-of-war, and arm wrestling.

Apart from the games, the police officers also conducted lectures on the importance of education, the ill effects of illegal drugs, anti-bullying, and following the minimum public health standards.

According to Abanao Police Station, the activity aims to give joy to young children and allow them to share their talents, socialize with other children and enjoy physical activities amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. (PROCOR-PIO)
