Student nabbed for transporting illegal drugs

A student will now be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after he was arrested for transporting illegal drugs in Kalinga on April 3, 2022.

Based on the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Tabuk CPS received information that a male person will be transporting marijuana from Tabuk City to Baguio City.

Acting on the information, operatives of Tabuk CPS and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit proceeded to the area to check the veracity of the information which turned out to be positive.

The quick police response resulted in the arrest of Christian Kyle A Tercero, 23, a resident of Upper Pinget, Baguio City.

Four (4) pieces of dried marijuana bricks weighing 4,000 grams with a standard drug price (SDP) of Php 480,000.00 and a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 0.2 grams with an SDP of Php 1,360.00 were seized from his possession.

Further, suspect Tercero voluntarily admitted that aside from the recovered drug items, he kept another three (3) pieces of dried marijuana bricks weighing 3,000 grams with an SDP of Php 360,000.00 at Purok 5, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga which he previously bought.

Inventory of the pieces of evidence was conducted in the presence of the arrested suspect and duly witnessed by DOJ representative, Miss Lailanie S. Balao-ing; Media Representative, Miss Leonora Lo-oy; and Brgy Kag. Abraham Licaycay of Bulanao Centro, Tabuk City.

The suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Tabuk CPS for proper disposition and documentation. (PROCOR-PIO)
