MP COPS joins COMELEC in quest for a SAFE NLE 2022
Cordilleraโs quest for a Secure, Accurate, Free, and Fair Elections (S.A.F.E.) continues as Mountain Province PPO initiated a unity walk in Bontoc, Mountain Province on March 12, 2022.
From Bontoc Municipal Capitol, the police officers walked together with the COMELEC-Mt. Province, religious leaders, and other community stakeholders until they reached the Provincial Plaza wherein a simple program was held to promote SAFE Election 2022.
The highlights of the program are the declaration of commitments of the political aspirants to promote a clean, honest and peaceful election. The declaration is anchored on the values of โ๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐บ๐ข๐ฏโ, โ๐ญ๐ข๐ธ๐ขโ, โ๐ฑ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐บ๐ข๐ธโ ๐ฐ๐ณ โ๐ฑ๐ข๐ฏ๐บ๐ฆ๐ธโ and treats competitors as their “๐ฌ๐ข๐ฃ๐ด๐ข๐ตโ.
As part of its voterโs information campaign, the COMELEC conducted a Vote Counting Machine (VCM) Roadshow so the public will see what the machine looks like, how it works, and how it will be used on Election Day.
Also, the signing of the Integrity Pledge, Peace Covenant and lighting of the SAFE candle was conducted to reinforce the declaration of the political aspirants.
In a statement, PCOL RUBEN B ANDISO, the Provincial Director of Mt. province PPO, assures the public of the non-partisan status of the Mt. Province police force. He also solicited the support of the public in attaining a clean, honest and peaceful election.
The activity ended with a prayer and launching of the Mountain Province Hymn for Intelligent Voting by the Aggiornamento Music Ministry. (PROCOR-PIO)
