9 men arrested for Illegal gambling

Camp Major Bado Dangwa La Trinidad, Benguet- (August 12, 2021) – The intensified implementation of anti-illegal gambling operation conducted by Abra PPO resulted in the arrest of nine (9) individuals who were caught in the act of playing “dado” (dice game) in Brgy. San Antonio, Bangued, Abra in the early morning of August 11, 2021.

Citing reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE identified the suspects as Pio Bolante Alcantara, 56;  Dominador Berame Garcia, 43; Michael Bolante Balanes, 39; Jomar Francisco Ducayag, 31; Christopher Bolante Balanes 36; Elizar Dela Cruz Guzman, 38; Jervin Valera Daria, 27; Joey Bolante Bragas 32; and Cesar Publico Banaoa, 44, all are residents of Abra.

Operatives seized 1 piece PVC pipe used as tubong, 2 pcs of dice, 2 pcs small pot cover, a black long table, and Php 4,412.00 bet money in different denominations.

The arrested suspects were brought to Bangued MPS for proper disposition, while a case for violation of Presidential Decree (PD) 1602 that sets the provisions against illegal numbers games will be filled against the suspects. (PROCOR-PIO)
