8th placer in Architecture examination lauded

City officials recently congratulated and commended Ian John Lacatan Lolong of the Catholic-run Saint Louis University (SLU) for placing eighth during the January 2024 architecture licensure examination with an average of 83.50 percent.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that Lolong’s achievement brought honor and pride to the city which is yet another testament that Baguio City remains the undisputed Educational Center of the North.

Earlier, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,809 out of 2,933 examinees successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Architects (LEA) given by the Board of Architecture headed by its Chairman Arch. Robert S. Sac with two other members Arch. Robert M. Mirafuente and Arch. Corazon V. Fabia-Tandoc.

The results of the examination that was held in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last January 24 and 26, 2023 were released in three working days after the last day of the examination.

Longlong, a SLU alumnus, is one of the 1,809 examinees who hurdled the aforesaid examination where he did not just pass the said licensure examination but also placed 8th in the list of topnotchers with an average of 83.50 percent.

Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Longlong and the SLU administration for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. – Dexter A. See
