8 individuals nabbed for illegal gambling in Tuba, Benguet

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – (April 6, 2021) –  Operatives of Tuba Municipal Police Station arrested eight individuals for illegal gambling at Sitio Laaw, Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet early in the morning of April 4, 2021.

According to Tuba MPS, a concerned netizen sent a message to Tuba MPS FB messenger that an illegal gambling activity is happening in their neighborhood. Immediately, Tuba MPS conducted validation of the said report then operatives went at the stated place and caught in the act the suspects playing Lucky 9. 

Benguet PPO Provincial Director PCOL REYNALDO PASIWEN identified the arrested suspects as Diosdado Casem Moral Jr., 32; Ferdinand Dumalig Bati, 27; Gilbert Felipe Lipawen, 36; Marvin Ayan Akisio, 45; Francis Sanchez Galiga, 44; Orencio Say-eng Arias, 41; Rey Barroso Marquez, 32, all miners; and William Likwet Diwayan, 58, driver.

Confiscated from the suspects were the bet money amounting to Php 1,650.00 and 52 pcs playing cards.

Arrested suspects and confiscated items were brought to Tuba MPS for proper disposition.  All suspects are now facing charges for violation of PD 1602 (Illegal Gambling).  (PROCOR RPIO)
