8 DRUG PERSONALITIES NABBED; P26M WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED

PROCOR cops have put eight (8) drug personalities behind bars and seized a total of P26 million worth of illegal drugs in a week-long anti-illegal drugs operation conducted from April 23-29, 2023.

Citing the records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), a total of 4.02 grams of shabu with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 27, 336.00 were confiscated from the eight drug personalities.

Of the eight drug personalities arrested, five (5) arrests were made by Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and followed by Benguet PPO with three (3) arrests.

In Baguio City, the arrested drug personalities were identified as Shaina Fane Balbuena, 25; Arnold Atonen, 27; Ernesto Escarilla Iii, 48; Jun Panelo, 39; and Daryl Collera, 27.

Further, in Benguet, the operatives of Benguet PPO arrested Ursula Cabbigat, 55; Anthony Pa-At, 41; and Meljohn Cabusora, 35

All arrested suspects are now facing charges of violating R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, in a separate anti-illegal drug operation, twenty (20) marijuana plantation sites were discovered in the province of Benguet and Kalinga. 

From these sites, a total of 70, 020 pieces of Fully-Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP), and 100, 000 grams of Dried Marijuana Leaves and Fruiting Tops with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 26, 004, 000.00 were discovered, these are all burned after documentation. (PROCOR-PIO /File photos)
