8.6 M worth of Marijuana plants destroyed by Kalinga Operatives in 4 Marijuana plantation sites in Tinglayan
CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – (April 17, 2021) – Working on the instructions of the PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, the continuous conduct of intensified anti-illegal drugs operation in the Cordillera region led to the discovery of another four marijuana plantation sites at Barangay Ngibat, Tinglayan, Kalinga in a 3-day operation from April 12-14, 2021.
Citing the reports of Kalinga PPO Provincial Director, PCOL DAVY VICENTE LIMMONG, during the conduct of operations, operatives of PROCOR and PDEA-CAR were able to discover four marijuana plantation sites with a combined land area of 4,300 square meters, and uprooted thereat, a total of 43,000 pieces fully grown marijuana plants with a Standard Drug Price of Php 8,600,000.00.
In addition, they also found 400 grams of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated value of Php 48,000.00 in the first plantation site.
For the 3-day operation, a total of Php 8,648,000.00 of fully grown marijuana plants and dried marijuana leaves were all destroyed and burned onsite by the operatives. ###
