Dominique Santero wanted to be a Teacher but she ended joining the force of the 5ID.

SAN MATEO, Isabela- MGen. Laurence E Mina, commander of the 5th Infantry Division (5ID) in Brgy. Upi, Gamu, Isabela congratulated the 81 members of Kasig-Laban Class 707-2021 during their graduation on June 13, 2022 at the Division Training School (DTS) Grandstand.

The new soldiers went through a six-month rigid military training cross-trained with Infantry Orientation Course and were facilitated by DTS.

Female soldier Dominique Santero from Malvar, Batangas, 25 years old, and a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Education said that the key to surviving rigorous training is to keep the will of the mind and the strength of the body in the same direction.

“Pangs of homesickness deceived me to surrender so many times but I pushed through. I love the army discipline that I learned during the training,” she said.

Santero, just like the other graduates, is expected to be deployed in any unit under the Area of Responsibility of 5ID.# Mae Barangan
