5ID’s Ass’t Commander to assume duties as acting COM5

SAN MATEO, Isabela- BGEN AUDREY L PASIA will assume duties as acting Commander of the 5th Infantry (Star) Division (5ID) in a change-of-command ceremony to be conducted on Sept. 5, 2022, at Tala Hall in 5ID Headquarters in Brgy. Upi, Gamu, Isabela.

Pasia will replace MGen. Laurence E Mina whose tour of duty ended upon reaching mandatory retirement age.

Pasia was born on July 1, 1967, and raised in Cuenca, Batangas. He is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkis Lahi” Class of 1990. He was assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division as Platoon Leader after graduation. Some of his past assignments where he led as Commander were: 10th Intelligence and Security Unit in Northern Mindanao, 9th Military Intelligence Battalion in Bicol Region, and 2nd Infantry Battalion in Albay. His recent assignment before he became the Assistant Division Commander of 5ID was Commander of 702nd Infantry (Defender) Brigade with Areas of Responsibility in Region 1, Abra, and in the Municipality of Besao and Tadian, Mountain Province.
