5 drug personalities arrested, over P2.28M worth of Marijuana seized

Personnel from Mountain Province PPO and PDEA Mountain Province arrested five (5) drug personalities in a police response at Sitio Oowayen, Poblacion, Sadanga, Mountain Province on October 13, 2021.

Based on reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director, the suspects were identified as Jonathan Fomanos Abella, 37; Jeric Arzadon Sansano, 30; Samson Amiling Damaso, 28; Sonny Kidit Kalaw, 36; and one minor.

According to Sadanga MPS, a person approached the personnel manning the checkpoint at Sitio Oowayen and informed them that a van parked approximately 3 kilometers from the checkpoint incurred a flat tire. The police personnel then offered to help in fixing the vehicle.

When the police personnel approached the vehicle, they saw pieces of live ammunition & fired cartridges and they saw marijuana bricks put in a yellow sack.

Seized during the said incident were 19 bricks of dried marijuana leaves weighing more or less 19 kilograms with Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 2,280,000.00; 16 fired cartridges for Cal. 9mm; and nine (9) live ammunition for Cal. 9mm.

Onsite inventory of the pieces of evidence was conducted in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by Barangay Chairman Eliang Anongos; Kagawad Ben Faguingas; and Kagawad Agnes Sacyafen all of Barangay Poblacion, Sadanga; and Ms. Valerie Taguba, Media Representative.

The arrested suspects were brought to the custody of Sadanga MPS for proper disposition, while the minor was turned over to MSWDO for documentation prior to the filing of cases for violation of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against them. (PROCOR-PIO)
