46 Patrol Cars to beef up PROCOR’S Anti-Criminality efforts
With the addition of 46 brand new police mobiles to the fleet of PROCOR’s patrol cars, the public can now expect increased police visibility and patrol operation to deter crime and to further improve the peace and order situation in the region.
According to the Chief of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division (RLRDD), PCOL FREDDIE M LAZONA, of the forty-six (46) Personnel Carriers (Toyota Hi-lux 4×4), Abra PPO received 19 vehicles while Kalinga PPO received 8 vehicles; 3 for Apayao PPO; 2 for Benguet PPO, and 7 vehicles for Ifugao PPO and Mt. Province PPO.
Meanwhile, according to the Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR, the new vehicles will help PROCOR with the attainment of its target of less than five minutes response time for police assistance.
“Nung una pa lang, ang gusto natin ay makaresponde ng mabilis ang ating mga tauhan sa bawat paghingi ng tulong ng ating mga kababayan. Dahil may mga bago na tayong sasakyan, malaking magiging tulong nito para maabot natin yung gusto natin na response time, PBGEN BAZAR said.
This latest procurement was funded through appropriations for the Capability Enhancement Programs (CEPs) 2019, 2021, and 2022 worth Php 761,219,682.00 and has passed the functional and endurance test ensuring that specifications provided by the PNP were followed accordingly.
