41 KATABIKO members withdraw support from CTGs in Mountain Province

After a series of information awareness and negotiations, 41 members of Kasigudan Aywanan Takderan Binangun di Kabunian Organization (KATABIKO) officially withdrew their support from the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in a ceremony held in Brgy. Bunga, Tadian, Mountain Province on January 30, 2022.

The ceremony was facilitated by the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO), PROCOR Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Regional Intelligence Unit- 14, the Local Government Unit of Tadian, and the Philippine Army.

As part of the program, the 41 members of KATABIKO officially took their pledge of allegiance to the government officiated by Ms. Angeline Pul-ocan, KATABIKO member followed by the reading of KATABIKO Resolution denouncing the CTGs presence and declaring them as Persona Non-Grata.

In response, COL ANGEL I MADARANG, INF, the Deputy Brigade Commander of 702nd Brigade of the Philippine Army, has solicited the 41 members’ support to end the 53 years of insurgency to attain a longtime dream of a safer and better country to live in.

Meanwhile, Mr. Felizberto Matute, the Provincial Director of TESDA, has willingly offered free scholarships to be availed by the members who are interested in enrolling in different courses provided by the agency.

Further, in a message given by PCOL RUBEN B ANDISO, Provincial Director of MPPPO, he advised the 41 members to be cautious and selective in joining an organization to further avoid being confronted by CTGs. (PROCOR PIO with a report from Mt. Province PPO PIO)
