3 drug personalities busted; over 9.8 M worth of Marijuana seized and destroyed in separate drug operations in Kalinga
CAMP MAJOR BADO BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad Benguet- (May 1, 2021) – the relentless effort of PROCOR cops led by the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE resulted in the successful arrests of three (3) drug personalities and P9.8M worth of Marijuana seized and destroyed in separate operations in Kalinga on April 29, 2021.
Citing the reports from the Kalinga Police Provincial Office and Regional Intelligence Division (RID), PBGEN RONALD O LEE identified the suspects as Carlos Bocad Banosan, 27; Mylene Bullay Sola-og, 25; both residents of San Pedro, Rizal, Kalinga and Ninoy Dalacnas Addawe,30, resident of Tabuk, Kalinga.
The joint operatives from PROCOR-RID, QCPD Kamuning Police Station and PNP Drug Enforcement Group Southern Operations 1 (PNP DEG SOU 1) arrested suspects Banosan and Sola-og after selling marijuana to a police poseur-buyer in Bulanao, Tabuk City.
According to the operatives, suspect Sola-og has been monitored selling illegal drugs and operating in some parts of Kalinga.
Recovered pieces of evidence from the suspects were 45 marijuana bricks; eight (8) tubular form dried marijuana with a total estimated weight of 49 kilograms with DDB amounting to PHP 5,880, 000.
In another buy-bust operation, suspect Addawe who is a newly identified Drug personality in Kalinga was arrested by joint operatives of PROCOR at Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City after selling one (1) piece medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline to a poseur buyer.
Seized from the suspect were one (1) piece of medium heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet containing white substance suspected to be a shabu weighing more or less 0.5 grams with standard drug price of Php 3,400.00; buy bust money composed of 1 piece genuine one-thousand-peso bill and two (2) pcs of one-thousand-peso boodle money; one (1) black cellular phone, and one (1) black motorcycle.
All confiscated pieces of evidence were all documented and inventoried onsite in the presence of witnesses.
Arrested suspects are now under the custody of the respective operating units and facing charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (R.A 9165).
Meanwhile, a marijuana eradication was conducted in barangay Loccong, Tinglayan. Kalinga operatives uprooted 20,000 fully grown marijuana plants cultivated in two (2) different marijuana plantation sites with a total land area of 2000 square meters.
To sum up, a total worth of Php 4,000,000.00 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted and burned onsite with no arrested cultivator. (PROCOR RPIO)
