3-day local absentee voting begins at 5ID

Qualified local absentee voters of the 5th Infantry Division (5ID), Philippine Army based at Camp Melchor F Dela Cruz, Brgy. Upi, Gamu, Isabela cast their votes at Tala Hall on April 27, 2022, following COMELEC’s guidance in the conduct of three-day local absentee voting.
Capt. Rigor N Pamittan, spox of 5ID said 2, 997 personnel of 5ID were allowed to vote ahead of May 9 election.
Under the law, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, and government officials who are temporarily assigned in connection with the performance of election duties to places where they are not registered voters can avail themselves the Local Absentee Voting to include the media practitioners who will not be able to vote on May 9 due to their reporting assignments.
The participants will only be voting for president, vice president, senators, and party-list group.
The casting of votes will end on Apr. 29, 2022. # MAE BARANGAN
