2nd top performing school in bar examination commended
City officials congratulated and commended the Saint Louis University (SLU) for being the second top performing schools in the 2022 bar examinations held in various testing centers around the country last November.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that the feat of the Catholic-run higher education institution serves as tangible evidence of the quality and excellence that higher education institutions in the city and the Cordillera possess, show and continue to uphold the city’s identity as the education capital of the north.
Earlier, the Supreme Court (SC) recently announced that some 3,992 out of 9,183 examinees or 43.47 percent successfully passed the November 2022 bar examinations or the licensure examination for lawyers that was conducted in various testing centers around the country.
The 2022 bar examinations were conducted last November 9, 13, 16 and 20, 2022 in selected testing centers in different parts of the country to allow examinees.
Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa, who was the chair of last year’s bar examinations, led the releasing of the results last April 14, 2023, 4 months after the conduct of the said examination.
Based on the data from the SC, the SLU School of Law was the second top performing law school in the November 2022 bar examination where first-time takers had a passing rate of 95 percent with 11-50 candidates and for all candidates with an average passing rate of 78.46 percent with 51-100 candidates. – Dexter A.
