298 ROOKIE COPS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THEIR FIELD TRAINING PROGRAM
In a joint graduation ceremony, a total of 298 new police officers from the PSFTP CL 2022-01 “MABIDANG” and CL 2022-02 “MASIDHI” have successfully accomplished their Public Safety Field Training Program (PSFTP) following their completion of the six months of Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC).
The graduates officially received their Certificate of Completion during the closing ceremony held at the King’s College of the Philippines, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet on December 11, 2023.
During the ceremony, the Director of the PNP Training Service, PBGEN RADEL DL RAMOS, graced the event as the guest of honor and speaker and led the distribution of the Certificates of Completion and Special Awards.
The activity was also attended by the Officer-In-Charge of the Regional Special Training Unit-Cordillera (RSTU-COR), PLTCOL ARNOLD C DUGAS; the Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, PCOL ARNOLD D RAZOTE; the Assistant Division Chief of the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division, PMAJ JEREMIAH R BENITO; the Assistant Chief of RSTU-COR, PLTCOL GENE M LICUD; the Chief of the Quality Assurance Doctrine and Development Division of the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP), PCOL CESAR M LUMIWES; other police officers; and the families of the graduates.
Highlighted during the program was the awarding of medals to members of both classes who excelled in academic and non-academic subjects.
For CL “MABIDANG,” Medalya ng Kasanayan was awarded to Pat Allan B Luzano for garnering the highest rating of 96.19%, while Pat Angielyn A Basilio and Pat Samantha H Bumulyad received Medalya ng Papuri for ranking as 2nd and 3rd respectively, with the rating of 96.03% & 95.92%.
Meanwhile for CL “MASIDHI,” Medalya ng Kasanayan was awarded to Pat Kristelle S Cosme for garnering the highest rating of 93.63%, while Pat Joenelle C Babehis and Pat Boy B Bondal received Medalya ng Papuri for ranking as 2nd and 3rd respectively, with the rating of 93.47% & 92.83%.
In addition, Medalya ng Papuri, a certificate, and a token were presented to Pat Kyule Ador Cawaling, who served as the Class Marcher, and Pat Clifford Valdez, who served as the Class President, of CL “MABIDANG,” while the same was also awarded to Pat Shiela Mae Gastales, who served as the Class Marcher, and Pat Kristelle Cosme, who served as the Class President, of CL “MASIDHI.”
The 298 newly appointed patrolmen and patrolwomen: 198 as members of CL “MABIDANG” (PRO Cordillera quota) and 100 as members of CL “MASIDHI” (AVSEGROUP quota), were entrusted with their PNP badges during the ceremonial pinning to signify that they are now officially full-fledged members of the Philippine National Police.
In the message of PBGEN RAMOS, he extended his congratulations to the new graduates for completing another six months of training and reminded them of what is to be expected now that they are public servants.
“As newbie police officers, once you are deployed to your first assignments, you will face a new chapter in your career and in your life. We are confident that you can survive the challenges that lie ahead of you since you were trained for one year. You were transformed from a civilian to a military officer,” PBGEN RAMOS added.
