23 FORMER REBELS RECEIVE E-CLIP BENEFITS IN ABRA
CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet โ (June 4, 2021) – As they return to the folds of law, 23 Former Rebels received benefits under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) through a simple ceremony held in Abra Provincial Capitol on June 2, 2021.
During the event, PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE attended and witnessed the ceremony along with Abra PPO Provincial Director, PCOL CHRISTOPHER ACOP, Commander of 702nd INF BDE, 71D PA, BGEN KRISHNAMURTA MORTELA, Governor Ma. Jocelyn V. Bernos, and through the Department of Interior Local Government (DILG), Abra PD, Ms Millicent B Cariรฑo they were able to award and hand-over the cash assistance amounting to Php 429,000.00 to the Former Rebels.
The 23 Former Rebels, from the municipalities of Bucloc, Daguioman, Dolores, Lagayan and Sallapadan, surrendered through the continuous efforts and series of negotiations initiated by the authorities. As they start a new life with their family, the government will assist them with the benefits under the E-CLIP as they reintegrate into the mainstream society.
Further, in addition to the E-CLIP benefits, PBGEN LEE gave immediate cash assistance amounting to Php 100,000.00 to 10 FRs from the municipalities of Bucloc, Daguioman and Sallapadan who recently surrendered.
The E-CLIP is a government program that aims to help rebel returnees as they turn back from their armed life and chose to live in peace and meaningful life together with their families. (PROCOR-PIO)
