18 – Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC)
The men and women of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) under the leadership of PBGEN MAFELINO ASPERO BAZAR join the whole nation in the observance of the 18 – Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) from November 25 to December 12, 2022.
With the theme, “United for a VAWC- free Philippines,” PROCOR is supporting the government’s call to end violence and all forms of discrimination against women and foster a community that has zero tolerance for VAWC.
The 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC is anchored in Republic Act 10398 or the Act declaring November 25 of every year as the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of VAWC where government agencies are mandated to raise awareness on the problem of violence and the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls.
According to PROCOR’s Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), from January of this year to the present, PROCOR has recorded 153 cases related to VAWC thus PROCOR encourages the public to support the government’s campaign for a community free from violence against women and children. (PROCOR-PIO)
