The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) continued its relentless pursuit of drug personalities, resulting in the arrest of three individuals in separate operations conducted across Abra and Kalinga on September 4, 2024.
In Abra, a joint operation launched by operatives from the Manabo Municipal Police Station, Abra Provincial Police Office (PPO), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Abra led to the apprehension of a 23-year-old male and a 19-year-old female. The suspects were identified as street-level drug personalities and were arrested during a buy-bust operation in Casamata Hill, Barangay Zone 5, Bangued. Operatives seized approximately 1.23 grams of suspected shabu, with a Standard Drug Price of PhP8,364.00 from their possession.
Meanwhile, in Kalinga, a 73-year-old male, listed as a high-value individual at the provincial level, was apprehended by operatives from the 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company, Kalinga PPO, Tabuk City Police Station, 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Regional Intelligence Unit-14. The suspect was arrested in Purok 1, Barangay Lacnog, Tabuk City, pursuant to a warrant of arrest for violating Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) and the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions.
