A total of Php3,119,980.00 worth of illegal drugs were seized, and three drug personalities were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Mountain Province, Kalinga, and Baguio City on September 3, 2024.
In Mountain Province, two males, both listed as High-Value Individuals, were arrested, and approximately 6.65 grams of shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php45,220.00 and assorted drug paraphernalia were confiscated by the joint operatives of Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (PPO), Regional Intelligence Division (RID), and PDEA-Mountain Province after the implementation of two search warrants conducted in Brgy Poblacion, Bontoc.
Meanwhile, in Kalinga, a male listed as a Street Level Individual was arrested in Brgy Dagupan West, Tabuk City, during the buy-bust operation conducted by the joint operatives of Kalinga PPO and PDEA-Kalinga after he sold two sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 0.2 grams with an SDP of Php1,360.00.
During his arrest, another five sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 0.5 grams with an SDP of Php3,400.00 were recovered from his possession.
Moreover, in Baguio City, six transparent plastics containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and stalks with fruiting tops weighing approximately 25,000 grams valued at Php3,000,000.00 and four bottles containing suspected marijuana oil with an estimated volume of 1,400ml valued at Php70,000.00 were seized from the buy-bust operation conducted in Atok Trail by the operatives of PDEA-CAR Baguio-Benguet Provincial Office, Baguio City Police Office, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, and RMFB 15.
Reports revealed that during the operation, the two suspects sensed the presence of the operatives, which prompted them to jump over the fence of the runway to escape, leaving the said illegal drugs behind.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the respective units in charge for documentation and proper disposition.
