𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝟭𝟭𝗠 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱, 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗥𝗢-𝗖𝗔𝗥’𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗲-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝘀

As part of the continuous anti-illegal drugs campaign of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region, a total of PhP11,360,800.00 worth of illegal drugs and two drug personalities were arrested in a series of operations conducted across the region on November 16, 2024.

During the separate marijuana eradication operations conducted, 45,000 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php9,000,000.00 were discovered at Mount Fisak, Brgy Saclit, Sadanga, Mountain Province, while 6,000 pieces of FGMJP with an SDP of Php1,200,000.00 were discovered in Brgy. Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga, and 5,430 pieces of FGMJP with an SDP of Php1,086,000.00 were found in

Brgy. Kayapa, Bakun, and Brgy. Tacadang, Kibungan, in the province of Benguet.

All discovered marijuana plants were documented, uprooted, and burned on-site, while ongoing investigations are being conducted to locate other marijuana plantation sites in nearby areas and apprehend marijuana cultivators.

Meanwhile, a 41-year-old male listed as the No. 3 Most Wanted Person at the Provincial Level for the 4th Quarter of 2024 was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for two counts of Violation of R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, by the operatives of Pudtol Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Brgy. Capannikian, Pudtol, Apayao.

The suspect was brought to the custody of Pudtol MPS for documentation and proper disposition prior to turnover to the concerned court.

Further, a 53 year-old male listed as a High Value Individual was arrested, and 11 grams of suspected shabu with an SDP of Php74,800.000 were confiscated during the buy-bust operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Baguio City Police Office in Brgy. Kayang, Baguio City.

The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the CDEU for documentation and proper disposition. The suspect will be facing charges for violation of R.A. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PIO PRO-CAR / File Photos)
