𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗧 𝗖O𝗣𝗦 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗣𝟲𝟬-𝗞 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗝𝗨𝗔𝗡𝗔 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗞𝗜𝗕𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡
As part of their ongoing efforts to uncover hidden marijuana plantations in Benguet, the Cabalyero cops of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) discovered and burned PhP60,000.00 worth of marijuana plants on September 8, 2024.
According to reports from Benguet PPO, the marijuana eradication operation was conducted by joint operatives from Kibungan Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Intelligence Division, and PDEA-CAR that resulted in the seizure of a total of 300 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with a standard drug price of PhP60,000.00 in Sitio Bito, Brgy Tacadang, Kibungan Benguet.
The marijuana plants were uprooted and immediately burned on-site, while enough samples were secured for analysis by the Regional Forensic Unit-CAR.
Concurrently, law enforcement is now ramping up their investigation to track down those involved in the cultivation and expanding their search to nearby areas for additional hidden plantations. (PRO-CAR PIO /File Photo)
