The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) concluded the month of November with a significant impact on its anti-illegal drugs campaign, following the seizure of PhP80,979,496.00 worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 27 drug personalities during 89 operations conducted from November 1 to November 30, 2024.
According to reports from the Regional Operations Division, these operations included 62 marijuana eradication efforts, nine buy-bust operations, four search warrant implementations, eight warrants of arrest services, and six police responses.
These efforts led to the confiscation of 88.59 grams of shabu, 248,280 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants, 39,300 pieces of marijuana seedlings, 242,000.70 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, and 180 ml of marijuana oil, with a total value of PhP80,979,496.00.
Additionally, 27 drug personalities were arrested, with 17 identified as High Value Individuals and ten identified as Street Level Individuals.
The most significant operations occurred in Benguet, where the Cabalyero Cops of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) confiscated illegal drugs worth PhP51,909,708.00, and in Kalinga, where the Lumin-awa Cops of Kalinga PPO seized illegal drugs valued at PhP19,782,160.00.
Additionally, in Mountain Province, the Inayan Cops of Mountain Province PPO also had substantial success with the seizure of PhP9,000,000.00 worth of illegal drugs.
These accomplishments highlight PRO-CAR’s steadfast dedication to eradicating illegal drugs and safeguarding the community.
